Monitor - PRN

About the role

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is hiring PRN security monitors for the Back on Track program in Erie, PA. The position involves maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for patients, with afternoon and overnight shifts available and a competitive shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient movement
• Maintain detailed logs
• Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
• Serve as first point of contact for new patients, conducting intakes and orientations
• Administer drug screenings
• Oversee medication dispensing
• Conduct random room checks
• Transport residents as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Pass a Department of Corrections clean background check
• Pass a drug screen (company‑paid)
• Obtain a 2‑step PDD/TB test (company‑paid when possible)
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record
• Obtain CPR certification shortly after starting
• Ability to remain awake and alert while on duty
• Capable of standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods; may involve lifting as needed

• Sharp attention to detail for monitoring resident behavior, facility movement, and identifying potential risks
• Ability to defuse tense situations and handle disputes calmly and effectively
• Discretion in handling sensitive information and maintaining a professional demeanor

Pay
