PRN CNA Hospice House - Nights

About the role

Tidewell Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a CNA to provide exceptional care at their hospice houses in Sarasota. The position involves assisting at Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Bradenton Hospice Houses, and Venice general in-patient units.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care).
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents, or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License (optional, only if choosing to drive oneself).
• One to three years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long-term care facility strongly preferred.
