CNA – Hospice IPU – Nights

About the role

JourneyCare Hospice is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for their Inpatient Unit in Barrington, IL. This is a night shift role with a consistent, predictable schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to hospice patients in the inpatient unit
• Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, and linen changes
• Ensure patient comfort and safety, including proper use of equipment
• Observe and report patient condition and any changes to the RN
• Document care provided in accordance with policies and standards
• Support patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in the state of Illinois
• Active listing on the state nurse aide registry with a clear record
• CPR certification
• At least 18 years of age (or as required by state law)
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle or reliable transportation preferred

Pay

Up to $26/hour - based on experience

Schedule

3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - Includes every other weekend and 3 holidays per year)
