About the role
Taylor Glen Community is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on PRN (relief) status. We are looking for someone who will uphold our core values of providing exceptional, compassionate care to our residents in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Assist with mobility around the house or outside (e.g., doctor’s appointments, walks).
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals, and help with physical therapy exercises.
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so successfully.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Offer activities essential for daily living, including assisting patients with meals, serving, and other tasks as necessary.
Requirements
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a CNA Program.
- Experience as a CNA preferred.
- Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Relief (PRN) status.
- Weekend availability required.
