PRN CMA Pediatric
About the role
The PRN CMA Pediatric at David Raines Community Health Centers supports providers in the provision of patient care by performing various duties including measurement of vital signs, discussing and documenting health concerns and histories, performing medical testing, and administering vaccinations and medications.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
- Prepares patients and/or equipment for examination and/or treatment.
- Maintains patient care inventory, supplies, and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
- Maintains and/or updates patient files, records, and other information in a professional manner following DRCHC policy and procedures.
- Affords assistance to providers and other clinical staff as necessary to perform clinical care functions.
- Provides prompt, courteous service to all patients and visitors via in-person, phone, or electronic means.
- Performs other related duties as required or necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate from an Accredited Program for Medical Assistants.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification with American Heart Association.
- Familiarity with routine medical protocol and terminology.
- At least one year of healthcare experience.
