Responsibilities

  • Fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist position.
  • Maintain friendly relations with all employees and build confidence and credibility.
  • Deliver clinical and administrative support, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, triage patients, and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Observe patients, chart, and report changes in condition.
  • Assist providers with minor procedures and physicals.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient charts.
  • Arrange referrals and obtain pre-authorizations as directed.
  • Perform DOT, BAT, and drug screen exams.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and support a professional clinic environment.
  • Assist with clerical work, including patient check-in and insurance verification.
  • Support telehealth by preparing patient charts and assisting with follow-ups.

Qualifications

  • Level 1: High School Diploma or equivalent, current CPR license, and 1+ year of experience as a certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic (preferably in urgent care).
  • Level 2: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with current CPR license and either 4 years’ experience + 2 years at Fast Pace or 6 years’ experience.
  • Level 3: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with current CPR license and either 6 years’ experience + 2 years at Fast Pace or 8 years’ experience.
  • Level 4: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with current CPR license and either 6 years’ experience + 2 years at Fast Pace or 8 years’ experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school preferred.
  • Active, verifiable license in good standing.
  • TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment (if applicable in your state).
