PRN Chaplain

Summary

The PRN Hospital Chaplain provides spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families, volunteers and staff in a healthcare environment. This role requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can provide emotional and spiritual support, respecting the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of those served. PRN (as-needed) schedule, requiring flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in theology from an accredited college. Verification of a minimum of one or more units of clinical pastoral education (CPE) by an accredited Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) center is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-year ministerial experience preferred. Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
• Certification: One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education certified by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (APCE).
• Other: A current letter of Endorsement from the applicant's faith group is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and spiritual care skills. Strong technology and teamwork skills. According to experience level, willingness to be mentored by more experienced chaplain. Experience and willingness to work with diverse populations. Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA rules.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $30.47 - $30.47 / hour
• Shift: Shift 1 / 8:00:00 AM to 4:30:00 PM
