Prize Payments Supervisor - Chatsworth, CA

About the role
We are seeking a Supervising Program Technician II to work in prize payment operations within the Finance Division. In this role, you will supervise a dedicated team—alongside another Supervising Program Technician—responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of Lottery prize payments. Your leadership will support our mission to fund California’s public schools and colleges.
This position is headquartered at the Chatsworth District Office and is not eligible for telework.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train staff in prize payment processing.
- Monitor workloads and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
- Review, edit, and provide feedback on staff work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Ability to meet and deal tactfully with the public and co-workers in person or by phone.
- Supervisor or team-building (lead person) experience.
- Experience with modern office methods, equipment, and general procedures.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience hiring, motivating, training, and ensuring staff have the tools needed to perform their jobs.
- Experience in time management, monitoring workloads, and adjusting staffing schedules as needed.
- Experience reviewing, editing, and providing feedback on staff work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations and policies.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
