Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning and wealth transfer strategies
- Draft advanced estate planning structures, including Revocable Trusts, ILITs, SLATs, IDGTs and GRATs
- Handle trust and estate administration matters, including modifications, decantings and trust terminations
- Advis[e] on transfers involving QSBS stock, business interests and real estate
- Conduct legal research on multi-jurisdictional and cross-border estate planning matters
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff
- Work directly with high net worth clients and families on complex matters
Who You Are
- A 4th–8th year associate
- Strong background in sophisticated trusts & estates and private wealth planning
- Experience advising high net worth individuals and families
- Strong drafting, research and communication skills
- Experience managing complex trust and estate administrations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive
- Experience mentoring junior attorneys preferred
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced law firm environment preferred
Compensation
Salary Range: $249,000 – $325,000 (DOE)
