Qualicare KC Home is a private in-home care agency providing one-on-one support to clients and married couples in Pleasant Hill, MO.

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate, self-driven Care Assistant to assist a married couple with light housework and personal care. The husband requires help with transfers and personal care, while we also support his wife with household tasks. This is a part-time position on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for a partial day.

Responsibilities

• Provide caring and compassionate assistance to clients and their caretakers
• Arrive on time (performance bonuses are tracked via clock-in system)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including incontinence care
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Accompany clients on outings, shopping, and errands
• Assist with medication reminders
• Support ambulation and transport of clients
• Provide companionship and follow the care plan
• Document and chart care activities
• Perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, squatting, and stair climbing

Requirements

• Personal or professional caregiving experience
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated good judgment when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers
