Overview

The Menchey School of Music, part of Menchey Music Service, is seeking an enthusiastic guitar instructor to join their team at the Lancaster studio. The school offers high-quality music instruction in a supportive environment and provides a steady flow of students through established marketing and enrollment systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging, personalized, and effective private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create a positive, encouraging, and educational lesson environment
• Help students grow musically, prepare for recitals, and inspire participation in performance opportunities
• Communicate timely and professionally with students, parents, and staff
• Keep accurate attendance and lesson records using our digital scheduling system
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm every day

Qualifications

• A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination
• A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply
• Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred
• Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment
