Private Funds Associate

About the role

The Private Funds Group in New York City is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join Aviditi Advisors, following Piper Sandler's acquisition in August 2024. The group provides comprehensive, tailored solutions throughout an alternative investment manager’s lifecycle across primary fundraising, secondary advisory, and portfolio company financing solutions. With over $500 billion* in transaction volume, the group aims to build a private equity-focused advisory platform.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting prospective managers, including analysis of performance, portfolio companies, marketability, etc.
• Designing go-to-market strategies
• Making presentations and positioning alternative investment products
• Preparing marketing materials
• Executing post-launch tasks alongside the relationship management team
• Collaborating with Capital Solutions and Secondary Capital Advisory teams for strategic advice to clients
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects and other assignments

Qualifications

• Minimum three full years of experience at a leading investment bank or placement agent
• An undergraduate degree from a top-tier school
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including Excel modeling and valuation
• Very strong technology skills with exceptional Excel and PowerPoint
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly
• Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and synthesize large amounts of information
• Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, organized, proactive, intellectually curious, and able to thrive in a high-energy, dynamic environment
• Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment
• FINRA SIE, 7, 63 and 79 licenses or willingness to obtain
