Private Equity Analyst

Job Description

Evaluate and execute investment opportunities
Fiscal modeling, valuation analysis, and return analysis for various investment targets
Conduct financial and operational due diligence
Prepare investment memos and other deal-related documents
Support portfolio companies through KPI tracking, active support on M&A strategies, and value creation initiatives
Execute market and industry research
Active involvement in finding new investment targets

Qualifications

• We are looking for candidates who combine strong analytical capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in software investing.
• Currently based in the Boston area or willing to relocate (5 days in the office)
• Strong academic background in finance, business, economics, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of (MM or LMM) investment banking experience (or equivalent transaction advisory experience)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior financial technical skills including analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting (there will be a modeling test)
• Strong analytical abilities
• Superb interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work in a team and independently
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire to build Main’s US presence alongside senior employees
