Private Equity Analyst

About the role

AfterQuery is seeking Investment Banking and Private Equity professionals to create and evaluate deal-analysis challenges for our AI training modules. In this remote, flexible role, you will build realistic valuation, LBO, and due-diligence scenarios that test an AI model’s ability to reason through transactions the way a strong analyst would.

Responsibilities

• Develop valuation exercises, LBO cases, and diligence checklists that challenge AI models on realistic deal work
• Evaluate and score model responses for financial accuracy, judgment, and clarity
• Collaborate with finance and technical experts to calibrate difficulty across deal types

Required Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comps, LBO)
• Exceptional analytical and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Deal sheet spanning multiple sectors or transaction types
• CFA or comparable credential
• Familiarity with AI tools in financial analysis is a plus
