Private Duty Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Interim Healthcare, you'll support a full range of patient services to bring comfort and dignity to our clients during critical moments of need.

About the role

• Provide in-home direct patient care according to the provider's prescribed plan of care and nursing scope of practice, while closely monitoring progress and recovery.
• Assess and document patient conditions (vitals, blood/stool/urine, glucose, etc.) and report changes as needed.
• Administer medication, insulin, and IV/fluids, documenting thoroughly.
• Inspect and care for wounds, change dressings, and assist with personal hygiene.
• Assess patients for injuries, infections, bedsores, and deliver appropriate treatments.
• Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of a practical (vocational) nursing program for LPN/LVN with a current license in the state(s) of practice.
• At least 1,200 hours of experience as an LPN/LVN or completion of the office’s preceptor program.
• Current unrestricted LPN license in the state associated with this position.
• Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
• Reliable transportation to and from care sites and work locations.
• Practical trach and/or ventilator experience preferred but not required.
