Responsibilities
- Personal Care & Mobility Assistance:
- Assist the client who cannot walk independently and is at a very high risk for falls.
- Provide hands-on support with walking, transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Ensure the client’s safety at all times.
- Meal Preparation & Medication Assistance:
- Prepare meals according to the client’s needs.
- Afford assistance with feeding if necessary.
- Provide medication reminders and assistance as prescribed.
- Home Assistance & Errands:
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Perform grocery shopping and other essential errands as needed.
- Companionship:
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Offer emotional support, encouragement, and engagement to promote the client’s overall well-being.
- Additional Support:
- Afford assistance with general daily living needs.
- Provide limited financial assistance if required, such as accompanying the client to the bank or helping with bill payments.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Home Health Care
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
