About the role
At BAYADA, we seek individuals passionate about caring and committed to helping people live independently at home. As a member of our Assistive Care team, you will provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent.
Responsibilities
- Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you will provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
- Develop close relationships with clients while assisting with:
- Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
- Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Ranging of motion/exercises
- Ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
- Medication reminders
- Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Personal Care Attendant (PCA), or Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
