Private Duty Caregiver

About the role

A Visiting Angels Private Duty Caregiver provides support to elderly and home-care clients in the Kansas City Metro area, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to exercise and follow medication schedules
• Shopping and grocery preparation (based on client ability)
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Aiding with mobility and ambulation
• Reporting health changes and emergencies promptly

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Passable background check and drug screen
• First Aid and emergency response training
• A heart for providing meaningful companionship to vulnerable individuals
• Compliance with state and office-specific health and safety standards
