About the role

We are hiring Private Duty caregivers for flexible 4 to 12-hour shifts, with a current client needing assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. If you have experience working in clients' homes, we’d love to speak with you!

Responsibilities

• Use transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand, gait belts, and slide boards
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking
• Evaluate changes in client’s health and confer with other healthcare team members as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment, including light housekeeping
• Use and clean devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities
• Follow schedule and assist residents with repositioning
• Transport client to doctors’ appointments or shopping
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide companionship for the client
• Follow all Homestead policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Experience passing medications
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Valid Driver License and insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel a maximum of 25 miles
• Weekend availability

Pay

Starting pay at $17.00 per hour.
