Private Credit Secondaries - Analyst/Senior Analyst
About the role
We are partnering with a private credit secondaries firm in New York City to add a talented investment professional to its growing team. The firm invests across private credit secondaries, co-investments, fund-of-funds strategies, and direct investments (both credit and equity), and currently manages approximately $3 billion in AUM.
The Senior Analyst will focus primarily on evaluating and executing new investment opportunities, playing a pivotal role in leading transaction workstreams, performing rigorous fundamental analysis, overseeing due diligence processes, and presenting investment recommendations to senior leadership. This is a high-impact position within a lean, collaborative team, offering meaningful responsibility, frequent exposure to senior decision-makers, and the opportunity to directly influence the firm's capital deployment and portfolio construction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence, financial modeling, and credit analysis for potential investments.
- Support transaction structuring, documentation, and coordination with legal and third-party advisors.
- Monitor existing investments, track performance metrics, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present investment memos and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Assist with reporting, tracking deal flow, and maintaining internal systems and documentation.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking (preferably leveraged finance), private credit, secondaries, co-investments, or fund of funds.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
