Job Details
We are seeking a highly qualified, partner-level Trusts & Estates attorney with a minimum of 6 years’ experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & implement complex domestic and international estate plans, utilizing wills, trusts, and other vehicles.
- Advise on income, partnership, corporate, and personal planning strategies for high net-worth clients.
- Analyze and optimize transfer-tax issues including gift, estate, and generation-skipping taxes.
- Develop philanthropic planning, including public charities and private foundations.
- Conduct financial modeling to present tax and planning scenarios.
- Lead client relationships, fostering new opportunities and maintaining long-term client satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor associate attorneys and support staff within the practice group.
- Collaborate across firm, engaging with corporate, tax, family office, and other teams.
- Maintain compliance and stay current with evolving federal and Florida estate and tax laws.
Qualifications
- J.D. and admission to the Florida Bar.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in estate, wealth, or tax planning, with evidence in both domestic and international matters.
- LL.M. in Tax or Estate Planning strongly preferred.
- Experience advising high net-worth or multinational individuals/families.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a book of business.
- Proficiency in drafting sophisticated legal documents: wills, trusts, partnership agreements, etc.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling capability, and strategic insight.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills—mentorship and client-facing confidence essential.
- Collaborative mindset and dedication to the firm’s team-driven culture.
