About the role

The Private Client Advisor on the Client Advisory team at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) plays a crucial role in delivering purposeful work and meaningful impact. This position focuses on understanding client exposures, loss experiences, and current coverages to recommend the best products and services tailored to their needs. The role involves providing proactive, day-to-day client service, gathering important information about risk management needs and financial loss tolerance, evaluating and proposing solutions, creating and presenting renewal proposals, and negotiating with multiple insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

  • Dive into client exposures, loss experiences, and current coverages to recommend the best products and services tailored to their needs.
  • Present clients with accurate market data from reliable sources, helping them navigate complex risks with confidence.
  • Provide proactive, day-to-day client service by anticipating clients' needs and addressing questions or issues in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Gather important information about their risk management needs and financial loss tolerance, then evaluate and propose a variety of solutions to effectively manage their risks.
  • Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients and conduct engaging annual Client Advisory reviews.
  • Negotiate with multiple insurance carriers to offer comprehensive coverage options, all while ensuring compliance with industry laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ personal lines insurance experience with High Net Worth clientele.
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
  • Client service orientation with balance on managing expectations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel for client and company meetings as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional designations a plus, e.g., CPCU, CIC, CPRIA, etc.
  • Previous experience relationships with luxury carriers, such as AIG, Chubb, PURE.

Skills

  • Personal lines insurance experience with High Net Worth clientele.
