About the Team

The Procurement and Legal Operations team collaborates with attorneys, business professionals, and internal stakeholders to review client agreements, manage contractual risk, and ensure compliance with firm policies. The team plays a critical role in supporting client engagement while protecting the firm's legal and business interests.

About the Role

We are seeking a Client Agreements Advisor to support the review, analysis, and negotiation of client engagement agreements and outside counsel guidelines. In this role, you will evaluate contractual terms, identify potential legal and business risks, prepare recommendations, collaborate with attorneys, and contribute to the development of consistent contract management practices. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work on complex legal agreements in a collaborative global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review client engagement agreements and outside counsel guidelines.
  • Analyze contractual terms to identify legal, operational, and business risks.
  • Prepare written assessments and recommendations for contract review.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
  • Draft client-facing responses and proposed contract language.
  • Support negotiations involving non-standard contractual provisions.
  • Conduct legal and business research to support contract evaluations.
  • Maintain contract documentation and internal agreement databases.
  • Respond to client due diligence questionnaires and information requests.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal standards, and risk management practices.
  • Monitor updates to contractual requirements and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with cross-functional projects related to contract management and procurement operations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree required.
  • Two or more years of experience in contract review, legal operations, procurement, or a law firm environment.
  • Experience reviewing client agreements, commercial contracts, or outside counsel guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal risk assessment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience conducting legal and business research.
  • Ability to interpret complex contractual language and provide practical recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
