About the role
This role is responsible for acquiring new clients, deepening client relationships, and building an internal and external network to achieve business development goals. Key responsibilities include leading the Client Management Process and partnering across the enterprise to provide a Branded Client Experience, offering access to the full array of Private Bank and the bank's capabilities to meet specific client needs. The position ensures client retention and may involve residential mortgage loan originations, subject to SAFE Act registration requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Client Process Management Process within the client team to identify new business development opportunities
- Source new clients in alignment with the bank's established risk appetite
- Lead the client team to deliver meaningful interactions and a Branded Client Experience
- Develop an in-depth understanding of clients’ needs, preferences, and overall wealth strategy, responding to changes in the business environment or client needs
- Advocate for clients and prospects as their trusted advisor, providing integrated recommendations including wealth structuring, credit facilities, banking, and asset management
- Encourage use and adoption of digital capabilities to enhance the client and client team experience
- Build relationships with internal and external partners and centers of influence
Requirements
- Series 7, 63, and 65 (or Series 7 and 66); unlicensed candidates may be considered if willing to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
- 12+ years of private banking and/or complex financial services experience or equivalent financial services/business experience
- Ability to drive new business development for target client segment ($3MM++ investable assets)
- Ability to present a holistic approach to clients, leveraging the entire Private Bank platform
- High touch, client-focused individual with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proactively recognize opportunities for client engagement and act upon them for the betterment of the client
- Ability to influence, proactively ask for, and close business
- Solutions-oriented with strong sales and financial aptitude
- Skilled negotiator
- Ability to work with and identify the need for team specialists; collaborate closely with other team members
- Take on a leadership role on the team and within the business community
Qualifications
- MBA or Post-Graduate Degree (desired)
- CFP, CPA, CFA, CTFA, CFM, or JD (a significant plus)
- High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent (minimum education requirement)
