Private Business Strategist
About the role
The Private Business Strategist within PNC's Private Bank organization supports business owners in discussions about their business goals and translates these into insights for growth. They also integrate transition-planning strategies into both personal and corporate planning.
Responsibilities
- Engage business owners in discussions about their business goals and translate these into insights regarding business growth and the corresponding impact on the owner’s personal wealth.
- Integrate transition-planning strategies into both personal and corporate planning, including evaluation of transition methods, preservation of capital through estate-planning techniques, explanation of how various transition strategies affect a company’s capital structure and the owners’ tax positions, and addressing “fair vs. equal” considerations.
- Navigate behavioral and family dynamics with business owners.
- Work with internal teams like the Asset Management Group and C&IB.
- Assess the scope and resources required for various modular tax, estate, and financial plans and manage the resources for efficiency.
- Identify, research, and evaluate the market; regularly engage with relationship managers, Corporate Banking leadership team, and transactional teams to ensure open and continued communication regarding strategic alternatives.
- Conduct and review research as appropriate, develop tax, estate, and financial analyses and plans, and make generally accepted recommendations to team members.
- Provide direction to wealth strategists and associates.
- Retain and grow assets under management by working with clients, prospective clients, and Centers of Influence and by providing advice and implementation.
- Identify solutions and PNC services as sales opportunities to enhance existing client relationships.
- Develop new client relationships through networking, prospecting, and referrals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to engage business owners in discussions about their business goals and translate those conversations into insights regarding business growth and the corresponding impact on the owner’s personal wealth.
- Experience integrating transition-planning strategies into both personal and corporate planning, including evaluation of transition methods, preservation of capital through estate-planning techniques, explanation of how various transition strategies affect a company’s capital structure and the owners’ tax positions, and addressing “fair vs. equal” considerations.
- Experience navigating behavioral and family dynamics with business owners.
- Working knowledge of corporate structures, owner cash-flow considerations, and the estate-tax landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a credit analyst.
- Corporate and/or personal tax experience in public accounting.
- Combined Trust & Estate and Corporate Tax experience as an attorney or CPA.
- Experience in a similar role within a financial institution.
- Experience advising family office clients.
Pay
$133,000.00 – $247,000.00
