Private Banker II- Dallas
About the role
The Private Banker II is responsible for managing a client base comprised primarily of professionals and executives, including medical doctors, dentists, accountants, attorneys, engineers, architects, and corporate executives. This role involves marketing, evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring a portfolio of loans and depository accounts while ensuring clients' wealth management needs are met through collaboration with other divisions and experts within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Initiates and cultivates relationships with new and existing private banking clients through active marketing efforts, including calls, visits, community involvement, and entertainment.
- Establishes and maintains primary contact relationships with targeted clients to maximize their lifetime value.
- Interviews applicants to gather financial and credit information, assess management abilities, and determine the associated risks.
- Counsels clients on investment, estate, and tax planning.
- Structures credit terms in accordance with lending policies and procedures and prepares and presents loan requests to loan committees for approval.
- Maintains periodic contact with existing clients to identify banking needs, track financial trends, and monitor changes in their organizations or industries.
- Cross-sells new and existing products and services to clients.
- Actively manages a portfolio of targeted/high-value clients, ensuring effective client retention and expansion.
- Examines and determines appropriate actions for overdrafts, past due payments, collateral, and credit exceptions.
- Participates actively in the bank's marketing program, community involvement projects, and banking organizations.
- Proactively provides a full range of financial solutions to clients with the assistance of specialists throughout the division and organization.
- Demonstrates strong solution-oriented sales and communication skills, establishing rapport and credibility with clients.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of private banking experience, including personal and entrepreneurial lending within a sales culture environment.
- 3-5 years of commercial lending or credit experience within a sales culture environment.
- Four-year college degree: MBA preferred.
- Formal credit analysis training.
- A certified financial planner is a plus.

Schedule
This position operates Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Other Requirements
- Register and maintain registry as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry and in accordance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the S.A.F.E. Act).
- Meet and maintain financial responsibility, character and general fitness standards along with all other established requirements for an individual Loan Originator (LO) in accordance with Regulation Z.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
- Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required.
