Privacy Fellow

Overview

We are seeking a privacy fellow with a passion for data, technology, and privacy to join our Privacy GRC and Operations team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Stripe's global privacy compliance programs and help ensure the company remains compliant, trustworthy, and privacy-forward.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new products and features across Stripe, evaluating privacy risks, and helping teams launch responsibly
• Managing and updating Stripe's customer-facing privacy policies, including coordinating localization and translations for multiple markets and jurisdictions
• Assessing privacy implications for innovative initiatives such as AI-powered tools and new financial products
• Contributing to the strategic frameworks that shape how privacy is practiced company-wide
• Collaborating with privacy counsel, product teams, and legal operations to move compliance work forward efficiently and at scale

Requirements

• Recently graduated from law school and preparing to take the bar exam
• Passionate about privacy and data protection with a desire to become a subject matter expert in data protection and privacy legal issues
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Organized with strong project management skills and the ability to work on long-term and short-term projects
• Curious about and comfortable using AI tools, eager to adopt them as part of their daily workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience with privacy, data protection, legal research, or compliance
• Based in the SF Bay Area or Seattle

• Annual US base salary range: $101,000 - $107,000
