Privacy & Data Security Associate (2-5 years): Denver or Boulder, CO
About the role
Holland & Hart is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Privacy & Data Security team in either the Denver or Boulder location. We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on compliance with comprehensive privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, state privacy statutes)
- Navigating industry and sector-specific privacy laws, rules, and regulations
- Drafting and reviewing privacy notices, policies, and disclosures
- Conducting comprehensive privacy risk assessments
- Performing privacy compliance due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions
- Staying current on emerging privacy legislation and regulatory developments
- Developing into a go-to resource and resident expert on evolving privacy issues
Candidate Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 2-5 years of privacy compliance experience at a top-tier national or international law firm
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple priorities
Compensation And Expectations
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Holland & Hart is providing a good faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado): $207,500 - $230,000. Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits. Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to Community-building, Diversity & Inclusion Investment hours.
