Data Protection, Privacy and Security Associate (DC or NY)

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support cases or transactions
• Draft legal documents like briefs, contracts, and correspondence
• Manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing regular updates and professional support
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative case strategies
• Participate in high-level legal activities such as court hearings and negotiations
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay informed about changes in regulations

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Bar admission in the District of Columbia and New York
• 3+ years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or regulatory advisory work
• Exposure to global privacy programs, incident response, or compliance frameworks
• AmLaw 100 firm experience is preferred

Pay

$260,000 – $390,000 annually
