About the role
Del Oro Consulting is seeking a Privacy Compliance Program Manager to lead privacy and security impact assessments for partner-facing business applications while helping evolve the client's Partner Data Privacy & Security program. The ideal candidate combines expertise in data privacy, information security, governance, and compliance with strong program management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy and security impact assessments for business applications that collect, create, use, process, or store data entrusted to the client by its channel partners.
- Help design, build, and continuously improve the Partner Data Privacy & Security Impact Assessment (PDPSIA) process.
- Evaluate privacy and security risks throughout the data lifecycle and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Partner with business, legal, security, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to ensure privacy and security requirements are incorporated into application design and governance.
- Assess risks associated with sharing entrusted data with third parties, including local sharing, exports, APIs, and other data transfer methods.
- Develop and maintain documentation, guidance, and process improvements that support the client's privacy and security objectives.
- Present findings, recommendations, and program updates to stakeholders across multiple business functions and global regions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working in a compliance-related role within a complex organization or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data privacy, personal data, processor/controller obligations, and data privacy frameworks (e.g., Privacy by Design, POLP).
- Data security concepts, including data classification frameworks and access control methodologies (e.g., RBAC, PBAC).
- Risk frameworks as applied across the data lifecycle, including risks associated with sharing entrusted data with third parties (locally, by export, via API, etc.).
- Data lifecycle management principles and how they impact data privacy and data security.
- Experience designing and building compliance operations and impact assessment processes.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and global regions.
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPP/x, CIPM, AIGP, or similar privacy certification.
- Experience with Airtable, including building relational databases, automations, and interfaces.
- Experience building AI agents.
- Experience drafting or contributing to written policy documents.
- Knowledge of SharePoint site and document management, including building or maintaining SharePoint sites.
