About the role

The Priority Projects Manager is responsible for leading the effective and efficient management of strategic projects in the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), within the agreed timeframes, budget, quality and resources to deliver the organization's objectives. The role is embedded at a nominated SESLHD site/service to deliver key projects from the site/service business plan in partnership with the local executive and to initiate other agreed projects before handover to local project teams. The role also provides ongoing advice and guidance to local project teams around project management, implementation, and reporting requirements for key strategic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the effective and efficient management of strategic projects within the agreed timeframes, budget, quality, and resources to deliver the organization's objectives.
  • Be 'embedded' at a nominated SESLHD site/service to deliver key projects from the site/service business plan in partnership with the local executive and to initiate other agreed projects before handover to local project teams.
  • Provide ongoing advice and guidance to local project teams around project management, implementation, and reporting requirements for key strategic projects.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be an employee of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and its Affiliated Health Organisations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in project management within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously and directly with senior executives and key internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving change in complex settings and managing scope, sponsorship, and implementation challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Pay

$69.36 - $78.79 per hour plus superannuation.

Schedule

16 hours per week.
