About the Organization
The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations ranging from about 10 to over 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year full-time experience working with Medicaid Services; two (2) years management experience preferred
- Able to type 45wpm and use 10-key by touch
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and other government-funded programs within the health industry
- Complete and pass State of Alaska HIPAA course
- Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License
- 1st Aid/CPR certification or certifiable within 12 months of hire
- Medical Terminology certification within nine (9) months of hire
- Excel certification within nine (9) months of hire
Skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced office independently
- Able to multi-task between different computer programs, retaining different passwords as needed
- Able to complete a variety of tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet reporting and completion deadlines with attention to detail
- Extremely perceptive, capable of relating to individuals at all levels
- Excellent analytical, organization, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner independently on limited but adequate information

Pay
Minimum hourly pay: $32.88
Schedule
- Full-time (80 hours per two-week pay period)
- 40 hours per week
- Exempt status (not eligible for overtime)
