Prior Authorization Supervisor

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage drug and laboratory prior authorization workflows and staff
• Assist staff with complex on-/off-label drug prior authorization cases
• Oversee molecular pathology prior authorization operations
• Collaborate with clinical staff and third-party payers on medical necessity
• Monitor payer policy changes and ensure compliance
• Identify enhancements in prior authorization processes and workflows
• Supervise up to 15 direct reports, ensuring productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts preferred
• Minimum 3 years in Case Management or Utilization Review
• 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare access, revenue cycle, and payer regulations

Pay

$96,500 – $109,100 annually
