About the role
Prioritize patient care by facilitating timely prior authorization processes for complex medical cases.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with insurance regulations.
- Research and interpret insurance policies to expedite coverage decisions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and insurance companies to resolve authorization issues.
- Monitor and update knowledge of new insurance policies and changes in coverage requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and insurance policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience with prior authorization software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
