Printing Prep Technician

About the Role

This position is responsible for gathering all printing materials required to set up a job or label on the decorator.

Responsibilities

• Make and update the color atlas.
• Perform color modification and approve lithography during printing.
• Prepare and control paint compliance with recipes.
• Electronically assemble printing forms' images, execute printing forms, and control them.
• Select and install printing plates, rollers, screens, and cylinders in machines according to specifications.
• Review work orders to determine ink, stock, and equipment needed for production.
• Report errors in projects and provide feedback to the graphics coordinator regarding graphic designs.
• Cooperate with Production and Quality departments (Decorator Operator, Shift Master, Quality Controller).
• Apply for approval or non-approval of graphic designs for production (compliance with project).
• Identify and suspend faulty printing plates and defective paint.
• Apply for suspension of printing materials, printing forms, and lithography patterns due to EAN code mismatch.
• Maintain daily time and material usage reports, recording information printed on manufactured products and parts.
• Comply with DPG regulations and procedures.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including servicing, adjusting, and testing machines and devices.
• Issue and receive print materials, printing forms, and lithography patterns based on the order queue in SAP.
• Report absence or damage of lithographic production patterns.
• Check EAN code compliance on printed forms against SAP information.
• Operate machines and equipment for processing printing forms and mixing paints.
• Perform duties related to the Integrated Quality Management Systems.
• Comply with health, safety, and fire protection regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Make trial lithography prints.
• Perform duties in accordance with WCM system assumptions.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties corresponding to the role.
