Printing Operator

About the role

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Printing Operator for their Sibley Iowa location. This position reports to the Production Department Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate the machine with a maximum of 4-7 colors to produce high quality print in a productive manner.
• Ensure high quality print is provided for the converting operations in a timely manner to ensure on time delivery to the end user.
• Achieve quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery to maintain profitability of the facility.
• Operate the machine effectively to meet customer expectations regarding product specifications and performance.
• Provide in-house customers with a product that meets their needs and requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating similar printing machines.
• Strong understanding of printing processes and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Proficiency in operating printing machines with multiple color capabilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

The position is available on a rotating shift schedule, typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage required.
