Printer Slotter Operator

Position Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Sets up machine and reviews specifications on the job order.
• Visually checks stock in accordance with the job ticket specifications (color, flute, and scoring).
• Sets slotter head knives to proper depth, sets pull rolls and scores in die cut section, and sets all impressions for materials being used.
• Runs set-up carton and checks set-up.
• Makes necessary adjustments to achieve conforming carton.
• Inputs orders in computer and tracks order to completion.
• Puts stock in hopper.
• Set up stacker and lay boy as needed.
• Feeds order.
• Performs routine cleaning to ensure optimal machine performance, and promptly reports any malfunctions or issues to maintenance.
• Follows production schedules and completes work in a timely manner to meet production goals.
• Adheres to safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintains a safe and organized work area.
• Conducts quality checks and inspections on materials to ensure they meet Plant Quality Standards.
• Maintains accurate records and completes paperwork as directed.
• Works closely with the printer team and assists Helpers with die cut attachments.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• GED or high school diploma.
