Responsibilities
- Detail oriented PCB Designer with experience in schematic capture, high density multilayer PCB layout, with flex and rigid flex circuit assemblies, RF and high-speed signal routing, impedance control, length matching and crosstalk mitigation
- Works with high-speed electronics, multi MCU systems for low power wearable devices, and class 3 medical products
- Component Library: Creates component footprints, models and manages component libraries
- Places components, routes signals, generates Gerber and ODB++ files preferably using Altium
- Determines optimum layer stackup for PCB design
- Experience with Altium Designer Schematic Capture or similar (Orcad), Altium A365 and PCB Layout Tools
- Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC for board design
- Collaborates with internal cross functional and external PCB manufacturing houses with DFM activities to resolve technical queries (EQs)
- Works with CAD models to perform 3D clearance checks against Mechanical enclosures
- Skilled in optimizing designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance
- Manufacturing: Generates Gerber, documents design and creates Fabrication and Assembly drawings
Required Knowledge and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Nice to have: Expertise with Altium Designer Tools, Experience with advanced PCB constructs such as blind, buried, micro and stacked vias

Benefits & Compensation
MiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $76,000 - $128,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
