Print Tool Technician - 3rd shift

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including logging in and out of time worked
• Complies with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Make flexographic/litho plates
• Make Rotary Screens
• Responsible for the critical evaluation of all plates/screens made and completes appropriate QA check lists
• Maintains Plate and Screen Tracking Logs
• Verifies information on Plate Envelope is correct
• Cleans and maintains platemaking room/screen room and equipment
• Completes preventive maintenance in accordance to set schedule and need
• Captures plate priorities with Scheduling, Graphics Coordinator, or Graphics Supervisor
• Maintains components-to-press schedules to understand priorities and mark completion of jobs or flags
• Participates in continuous improvement / Kaizen teams
• Attends department meetings and internal training classes
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required; College degree strongly preferred, ideally related to the printing industry
• Print manufacturing experience preferred
• Technical expertise in flexo, rotary screen and general printing processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks
• Knowledge of color separations, press layouts, print specifications
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Radiuss job management software experience is a plus
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills
• Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
• Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
