Print Production Press Technician — 8‑Color Sheetfed

Opportunities

• Shift: 2nd Run an 8-color Komori sheetfed press with double coater (aqueous and UV), leveraging H-UV capabilities
• Master EC/UV curing systems—operate and maintain for stable performance
• Use modern color control systems (CCS) to hit targets and maintain SID
• Read and apply trapping, gray balance, and dot gain data to manage print quality
• Execute each job to the ticket and customer specs; escalate unclear items quickly
• Support production quality checks to ensure every job measures up to our standards
• Keep the press area safe, orderly, and compliant with SOPs

About the Role

The opportunity is for a Shift: 2nd Run an 8-color Komori sheetfed press with double coater (aqueous and UV), leveraging H-UV capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Master EC/UV curing systems—operate and maintain for stable performance
• Use modern color control systems (CCS) to hit targets and maintain SID
• Read and apply trapping, gray balance, and dot gain data to manage print quality
• Execute each job to the ticket and customer specs; escalate unclear items quickly
• Support production quality checks to ensure every job measures up to our standards
• Keep the press area safe, orderly, and compliant with SOPs

Requirements

• 5+ years in a pressroom environment, with strong quality control skills
• Detail-driven, organized, and comfortable with changing priorities
• Team-minded and self-motivated; strong interpersonal communication

Qualifications

• Physical readiness: lift ~40 lbs., stand for full shifts, frequent walking/kneeling/reaching, constant hand/arm use
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs. during maintenance (roller changes, etc.)

Skills

• Strong knowledge of color management and printing processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
