Principal Workday Analyst – Security

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Workday Analyst – Security to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will serve as the lead expert for Workday security strategy and design within a complex, regulated environment. You will own the security configuration framework, helping ensure sensitive employee and business data is protected while enabling the organization to operate efficiently. The position partners closely with HR, IT, and functional stakeholders to align security controls with business processes, governance standards, and compliance requirements. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $113,600 – $170,400 annually Responsibilities Serve as the lead subject matter expert for Workday security strategy and design Own and maintain Workday security configuration, including policy management and security roles Lead scalable security model design to protect confidential data Evaluate security change requests and assess risks based on governance standards Configure security for new Workday functionalities and ongoing enhancements Partner with HR, IT, and functional teams to ensure alignment with business processes and compliance requirements Provide expert guidance on Workday security best practices and least-privilege access Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in Human Capital Management systems, including Workday Security configuration, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience Hands-on experience with Workday Security configuration in a complex business environment Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account Life insurance and long-term disability leave Tuition assistance/reimbursement 401(k) plan with employer matching Paid time off and paid holidays Employee Stock Purchase Plan and incentive plans Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
