Principal Water Wastewater Consultant

Role Description

Arcadis seeks a Principal Industrial Water/Wastewater Consultant to join the IWTO team as a “seller/doer”. This heavily client-facing technical position will be key to our growth in the Mining sector in the US.

Role Accountabilities

• Lead business development activities to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships.
• Reach out to client network regularly to stay connected and assess opportunities.
• Engage with Arcadis’ regional, national, and global client account teams.
• Support the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships.
• Collaborate with various Arcadis locations to support projects and client development in the US, as well as globally.
• Serve as a Mining Sector wastewater treatment subject matter expert.
• Support the development of the Industrial Water process team within the Mining sector, including teaching/mentoring staff on mining operations as well as wastewater issues/needs and treatment within the Mining sector.
• Lead projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of industrial water / wastewater treatment plants and wastewater recycle plants.
• Coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams, lead or serve as Subject Matter Expert for complex engineering designs for industrial water projects while collaborating with other design disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study preferred.
• 20+ years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience.
• Held prior roles across engineering, project management, sustainability, sales, marketing, and mining.
• Strong experience in developing and leading large industrial wastewater capital projects.
• Strong experience and network within the Mining sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer License.
• Knowledge and experience with multinational industrial clients.
• Previous experience in a regional or national role and collaboration across regional teams.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $136,400 - $204,600. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
