About the role

We are searching for a Principal Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialist to join our Cardiovascular team in California. Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Our Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke, continually elevating standards of care for stroke, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients.

The Principal Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialist (ULS CAS) provides technical and clinical product support to healthcare providers, including Electrophysiology (EP) physicians, Interventional Cardiologists (IC), and laboratory staff, with an emphasis on the AcuNav™ and SOUNDSTAR™ catheters. This role focuses on enabling practitioners to perform advanced cardiac ablation and interventional procedures while building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships to foster product and technology utilization.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to EP/IC physicians and staff on the effective use of AcuNav™ and SOUNDSTAR™ catheters in EP and IC procedures.
• Deliver expert clinical and technical support on electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO® System, CARTOSOUND™, CARTOMERGE™, and the Stockert RF generator) during case procedures to meet and exceed business goals.
• Educate customers on all electrophysiology products to optimize usage through technical and clinical information and in-service trainings, sharing best practices to increase value.
• Use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities and create awareness of electrophysiology solutions to drive incremental business.
• Maximize customer case support capability through proper planning and scheduling techniques.
• Drive collaboration and maintain consistent communication with internal partners (e.g., Territory Managers, EP CAS, Field Service Engineers, Marketing) and external partners.
• Develop and share best practices with US Field Sales and Service colleagues and grow mutually beneficial customer relationships within and beyond the EP/IC lab.
• Stay current on company product instructions for use (IFU), best practices, technical troubleshooting, and relevant scientific clinical literature.
• Prioritize and respond to requests in high-stress environments while maintaining composure and problem-solving focus.
• Engage in diagnostic dialogue with internal and external stakeholders to formulate solutions based on input.
• Provide mentoring for new electrophysiology commercial team members as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree, or 4 years of relevant professional work/military experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical echocardiography lab.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in adult or pediatric echocardiography (must maintain certification).
• Advanced clinical ultrasound and echocardiography knowledge of technology, advancements, and the business landscape.
• Clinical knowledge of the healthcare industry, disease states, and therapeutic and institutional trends.
• A valid driver's license issued in the United States.
• Ability to travel up to 40% overnight locally, regionally, and nationally, sometimes on short notice.
• Position requires sitting for extended periods, working in a hospital laboratory setting, attending live patient cases, and wearing protective gear (e.g., lead aprons).
• Willingness to work variable hours to meet patient needs.
• May be required to lift up to 60 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrophysiology/Cath Lab or EP/Cardiovascular Device Industry experience.
• Maintaining at least one of the following industry certifications: CEPS (IBHRE), RCES/RCIS.
• Experience working with highly complex technical systems and/or in a critical patient care setting.
• Effective and timely communication skills with co-workers and all levels of the patient care team.
• Self-starter who performs well with autonomy and can adapt in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in high-pressure environments.
• Receptive to constructive feedback and collaborates well in a team environment.
• Able to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights.
• Hunger for learning and building new skills.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $96,000.00 - $155,250.00. This position is also eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

• Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
• Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (48 hours for Colorado residents, 56 hours for Washington residents).
