Principal Transmission Planning Consultant

Maintained Duties

• Maintains deep expertise in transmission planning and advanced analytical methods
• Led complex calculations, modeling, workflows, and QA/QC for major projects
• Communicates technical concepts clearly to leaders, clients, and stakeholders
• Manages large cross-functional projects, identifies risks, and drives mitigations
• Serves as primary client contact and ensures compliance with industry standards
• Mentors engineers and technicians; develops documentation for knowledge transfer
• Supports major proposals and contributes to industry committees and presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university required
• 15 years of related experience; may be reduced to 12 years for well qualified individuals with a Professional Engineering (PE) License, or P.Eng License
• Knowledge of multiple engineering analysis software packages such as PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, ASPEN, ETAP, TARA
