About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Test Conductor / Principal Test Conductor, specialized in hardware/software integration and lab operations. This role is located in Roy, Utah and supports Lab Operations, including laboratory design, test planning and preparation, scheduling of test events, and execution of integration checkout procedures. The selected candidate will ensure test stations and assets are configured and ready to test by deploying software and configuring hardware, and will work closely with MA to maintain and validate test station software and hardware configuration.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of detailed plans and schedules for integration checkout procedures
• Contribute to test development and review in collaboration with other engineering disciplines, systems test, and engineering management
• Develop and execute software installation, integration, and acceptance test procedures
• Coordinate test equipment and personnel requirements for safe and efficient execution of tests
• Provide test support and make real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution
• Contribute to the configuration management of the lab
• Serve as the focal point between internal and external organizations to develop test data requirements
• Excellent communication skills required; must work well in a team environment and independently to solve complex problems

Requirements

• Test Conductor (T02): 2 years with a Bachelor’s in Science; 0 years with a Master’s; or 6 years of equivalent experience in aeronautical aviation test and/or evaluation/hardware support
• Principal Test Conductor (T03): 5 years with a Bachelor’s in Science; 3 years with a Master’s; 1 year with a PhD; or 9 years of equivalent experience in aeronautical aviation test and/or evaluation/hardware support
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval
• 2+ years of experience in hardware/software integration, software testing, Confluence, and JIRA

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Networking, or equivalent
• Experience in lab integration and test activities
• Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies
• Experience with test equipment use and system troubleshooting
• Active DoD Top Secret and SAP/SAR access

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline. Base salary offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
