Relocation assistance may be available. U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance and special program access. Travel is required, up to 25% of the time.
About the role
Our Mission and Operations Integration and Test group is seeking a Principal Test Conductor 3 (Integration and Test) to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. You will design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has system-level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and strong computer skills. Daily responsibilities will involve test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware. International travel to support launch campaigns may be required. Shift and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment
- Tackle issues utilizing skills in electrical engineering or related disciplines, particularly as they relate to system-level integration and test
- Communicate clearly and use critical thinking to troubleshoot problems
- Use scripting languages to formulate automated test scripts
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s in Science; 3 years with a Master’s; or 1 year with a PhD (4 additional years of work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Ability to listen effectively, take direction, and possess initiative to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based on previous experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance and special program access
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Visio or National Instruments LabView
- Experience with hardware or software testing and test scripting
- Minimum of four years of directly related experience in satellite test
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, DMMs, signal generators, etc.)
- Experience in electronics troubleshooting, RF test configuration testing, or environments testing (vibration analysis/thermal vacuum chamber testing)
- Programming experience with Python, C, or C++
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry (development or test)
Pay
Primary level salary range: $89,400.00 – $134,200.00. The range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
