About the role
The Automotive Vehicles team is searching for a creative and expert Senior Technical Program Manager to help bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution to the world. You will work with engineering teams to integrate their work into the AV SW platform, balancing risks and addressing issues to achieve or exceed automotive standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Work with the engineering team to develop and manage project roadmaps, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate release content and efforts with multiple program/engineering managers.
- Balance risks and address problems affecting release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Help define measures of release quality using industry standards.
- Establish metrics to assess the health of the release and guide the team in an accurate agile/scrum manner.
- Streamline day-to-day operations and generate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and track trends.
- Analyze trends and drive improvements through them.
- Regularly communicate program status and key issues to management and across teams within the organization.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years recent Program/Project Management experience
- Driving the planning and execution of software engineering projects and releasing commercial products
- Leading and optimizing delivery of medium to large programs and projects, and process improvements
- Adopting new and improved process workflows in medium to large organizations
- Experience with new product introduction and program managing research teams (a plus)
- Experience as a software developer or software QA engineer (a plus)
- Ability to guide engineering teams in projects and process improvement
- Experience with Jira and/or JAMA (a plus)
- PMP, Scrum Master certification (a plus)
Qualifications
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, autonomy software integration, and machine learning
- Background with automotive SW development and QNX
- Experience working with operations and fleet management
- Experience with issue triaging and diagnosis
Skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of automotive standards and guidelines
Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $240,000 to $379,500 USD based on location, experience, and market conditions
