Principal Technical Program Manager

Overview

The Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team is a global engineering organization that works directly with customers looking to leverage the latest technologies to address their toughest challenges.

Responsibilities

• You will partner with Software Engineering, Data Scientists, Designers, and SMEs to design complex technical solutions across feature areas.
• You’ll also give key stakeholders data-driven recommendations based on identified risks.
• You’ll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for highly complex cross-functional projects.
• You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across the business.
• You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups across divisions, track project schedules, drive development of staging and implementation plans, and lead governance programs.
• You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch.
• You’ll also provide expertise needed for departments to collect performance metrics, lead customer support, and define and lead direct customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs): Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• Other Requirements: Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the role’s job duties.
• Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs): Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. Enjoy travel and are comfortable with travel up to 25%. 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
