Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I designs, builds, acquires, operates, and maintains Microsoft's datacenters, which house the world's largest Commercial Cloud globally. Over 90% of Fortune 500 companies are hosted in our datacenters. We are integral to Microsoft's vision of empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.

CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Program management for the Data Center and Networking planning organization to own all core data and tools with engineering.
  • Ensure holistic decision-making on all data systems and tools with an end-to-end viewpoint.
  • Adapt communications around different technologies, products, and services to the audience's level of understanding.
  • Manage project stakeholders and stakeholder engagements, including identifying stakeholders, prioritizing their concerns, managing expectations, and planning and monitoring engagements.
  • Plan and steer complex projects toward strategic milestones, ensuring all dependencies are managed and aligned with the overarching program; carry out planning and processing of project and program phases through the product lifecycle by leveraging AI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including but not limited to the Microsoft Cloud Background Check (required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Pay

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
