Principal Technical Consultant

About the Role

Parsons is looking for a Principal Technical Consultant to provide advice and consulting as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME). In this role, you will resolve problems, remove impediments, review work for completeness, and meet or exceed customer requirements by solving a variety of business problems with innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Consult on the execution of advanced solution strategies.
• Provide technical expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Work with company leadership and Project Managers to deliver professional technical services and solutions.
• Maximize customer operational performance by providing resources and technical advice.
• Stay up to date with current trends and developments.
• Establish professional relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, management, etc.).
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure ongoing improvements in quality and service.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of extensive experience as a technical consultant in a related industry, including supervisory experience.
• Experience presenting information/assessments to senior personnel.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex information from various sources and decide the best way to move forward.
• Exceptional ability to work well with others, both independently and in a team.
• Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply best industry practices and regulations.
• Advanced problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills, with an understanding of current and future implications.
• Ability to understand the related technical impact of current and future situations.
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical support in a demanding work environment.
• Ability to understand complex and in-depth technical situations and related business challenges.

Pay

Salary Range: $75.72 - $136.30 per hour.
